Kejing MSK-CSC-B450 electrode-roll slitter
The Kejing MSK-CSC-B450 slits electrode rolls continuously into four lanes as standard, with custom lane counts on request. It has closed-loop unwind tension, independent knife holders and two-station differential rewind shafts. Feed width is up to 400 mm and slit widths run 30–270 mm. It suits pilot lines cutting coated foil to cell width.

Width, speed, roll size and tension
Kejing gives 450 mm guide rolls and a feed width of up to 400 mm, and recommends leaving 15–40 mm of scrap on each side. Slit width runs 30–270 mm with four lanes as standard. Not every four-lane combination fits within the feed width once scrap is added, so ask for a knife and spacer layout for your widths.
Mechanical speed is 0.2–50 m/min; the working speed is 0.2–40 m/min depending on the material. Unwind OD reaches 400 mm and rewind OD 350 mm, both on 3-inch shafts. Tension control goes up to 100 N, with no per-lane figures. Ask Kejing for the differential-shaft layout, the tension recipe and how it handles reels that build up unevenly.

Set numeric limits for the slit edge
Kejing describes slitting edges free of waviness, dents, sleeve marks and obvious burrs. It gives no figures for burr height, particle count or slit-width tolerance. Write your own edge inspection method, the coating shedding limit and the usable width your cell assembly needs.
Trial electrodes at your thickness and loading, using the planned lane layout and speed. Inspect every lane along the roll, including start-up, a controlled restart and the end of the roll. Log the knife and spacer revision and the tension settings with each sample. The machine has dust removal at several points and blade cleaning; measure how well they work on your material and agree the cleaning schedule.
Keep track of each reel after slitting
Ask how the rewind traceability links the incoming roll ID, lane position, finished reel and recipe; Kejing does not publish its data functions. Agree how empty and rejected material, trim and operator handling are managed when one lane reaches full OD before the others.
The machine body is about 2800×1300×1750 mm, without the indicator and collector, and weighs about 2.5 tonnes. It runs on three-phase 380 V at 7 kW. Get the full installed layout, collector services and the knife access and isolation procedure. For acceptance, count usable reels that meet your width, edge and rewind criteria, and measure the speed each electrode actually holds, since 40 m/min is a ceiling that varies by material.
Slit rolls go on to a winder such as the Kejing MSK-112A-E.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Do your four lanes fit with scrap? | The catalogue lists 400 mm feed, 30–270 mm lanes and 15–40 mm scrap per side. | Approve a knife, spacer and trim drawing. |
| What burr and particle result is acceptable? | The catalogue describes edge appearance in words, with no figures. | Set numeric limits and sample every lane. |
| How are new reels identified? | The catalogue names rewind traceability without listing its records. | Check the roll, lane and reel mapping and recovery from uneven build-up. |
