Kejing MSK-112A-E round/prismatic laboratory winder
The Kejing MSK-112A-E is a laboratory winder that makes either round or prismatic cores. Round cores run from 14–46 mm diameter and prismatic cores up to 90 mm wide and 10 mm thick. Winding and cutting are automatic; the operator feeds, unloads and tapes each core. It suits labs building small wound cells in both formats.

Core sizes, mandrels and rotation speed
Kejing gives round cores of 14–46 mm diameter and 30–100 mm length, tabs excluded. Prismatic cores run 30–100 mm long, 30–90 mm wide and up to 10 mm thick. The catalogue quotes electrode-to-separator alignment of ≤±0.5 mm, with no sample or recipe attached to that figure, so agree the core and overhang drawing and how it will be measured.
Standard tooling includes a 3.5 mm round needle and the 3050 prismatic option. Other mandrels and a longer 4680 support plate are optional or custom. The table says one chosen mandrel set comes as standard, so list every tool you expect in the order. Rotation reaches 100 r/min, which describes spindle speed and says little about finished cores per minute, because loading, unloading and taping stay manual.
| Parameter | Published value | Record status |
|---|---|---|
| Round-core diameter range | 14–46 mm | known |
| Core length excluding tabs | 30–100 mm | known |
| Maximum listed rotation | 100 r/min | known |

Matching mandrel and tension to your strips
Send the electrode and separator widths, thicknesses, lengths, tab positions and the target core dimensions. Approve the guide-slot position and width and the way each wind starts and finishes. Kejing names low separator tension but gives no control range or uncertainty, so ask how the setting is made and checked for your separator.
Run a trial on representative strips and inspect alignment, wrinkles, folds, tab placement and how cleanly the core comes off the needle. Record speed, turn count and fixture settings alongside the accepted sample cores. Large tab schemes or full-speed runs may behave differently from slow trials, so test at the speed you plan to use.
Repeatability through the whole operator cycle
Watch the full cycle with your own operator instructions: manual placement, automatic cut, unloading and taping. Agree which handling marks are acceptable and what makes a usable core. Then repeat the run after a planned change of mandrel or format, and time how long that change takes and whether output holds.
The machine draws about 0.8 kW on AC220 V and needs 0.5–0.8 MPa air. It takes 3-inch separator cores and rolls up to 250 mm OD. Check clearance around the strips and support plate, the guarding and tooling maintenance. At handover, ask for alignment check steps and safe access to the needle and drive. Kejing publishes rotation and geometry only, with no production rate, electrical test or finished-cell yield.
Kejing's profile lists the slitter that prepares electrodes for this winder, the Kejing B450 slitter, and wound cores then go to cell assembly. The acceptance testing page explains how to check alignment on sample cores during winding trials.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which mandrels are included? | One chosen mandrel set is standard; the 3.5 mm needle, 3050 prismatic option and 4680 support plate are listed separately. | Approve the core drawing and a written tool schedule. |
| How is alignment measured? | The catalogue gives ≤±0.5 mm without a sample definition. | Measure electrode-to-separator position on trial cores from your strips. |
| What remains manual? | Loading, unloading and taping are operator tasks. | Time the full cycle and repeat it to count accepted cores. |
