Kejing MSK-UW-D800W ultrasonic tab welder

The Kejing MSK-UW-D800W joins foils and tabs with two separately set ultrasonic stations, one for pre-welding and one for the final tab weld. The operator places the cell and slides a shared fixture between them. Material sensing, welding and dust collection are built in. It runs at 40 kHz with 50–800 W output.

Frequency, power, layer count and cell size

The table gives 40 kHz, 50–800 W adjustable output, weld time adjustable below 0.4 s and two standard 3×6 mm weld heads. For continuous running Kejing lists 1–15 copper or aluminium layers; up to 20 layers is listed for intermittent use only. Single-tab cells up to 380×210 mm fit, with a fixture made to the customer's design.

Elsewhere Kejing quotes a pull force of ≥70 N and more than 80% residual area after welding 16 copper layers. That example gives no foil thickness, tab material, test method or duty cycle, so treat it as one data point and set your own joint tests. Fixture and weld-point sizes can be customised.

BUYER NOTES

Separate recipes for the pre-weld and the final weld

Send the foil material, thickness and count, the tab construction and a joint drawing. Define what the pre-weld and the final weld each have to do, along with clamping and alignment, horn and anvil condition and the allowed weld area. Kejing lists aluminium positive and nickel negative tab welds; write the exact combination you need into the offer.

Trial each joint and record amplitude, time and force where the controller shows them. Agree a pull, section or residue test for acceptance. Inspect the foils next to the weld and any insulation for tears or imprint damage. The short weld time is the period of ultrasonic energy only; loading and unloading set the operator's real cycle.

BUYER NOTES

Shared fixtures across Kejing machines

Kejing says the same fixture can move on to its tab-cutting and shaping equipment, so the cell is clamped once for several operations. That only works if you buy matching fixtures and machines; a standalone welder comes without a cutter or transfer line, so list the fixtures and station handovers you expect.

Watch material detection, safe start and the chosen dust collection and cleaning, following the supplier's procedures. It needs about 1.4 kW at AC220 V and an air line at 0.5–0.8 MPa. At handover, expect training on horn and anvil wear, fixture changeover, extraction and safe access. Kejing gives no measured weld yield, dust level or effect on cell electrical results.

Tab resistance after welding can be checked as the cell measurement page explains.

The stacks being joined usually come from a stacker such as the Kejing Z-fold stacker.
