Kejing MSK-111A-CRM sheet-electrolyte/Z-fold stacker

The Kejing MSK-111A-CRM stacker builds cores either by Z-folding a roll separator or by stacking separator or electrolyte sheets. It feeds electrodes, applies tape and buffers finished cores. Kejing lists it for lithium-ion, lithium-metal and solid-state cells. Stacks run 50–160 mm long and up to 20 mm thick.

Stack size, alignment and the 3 s figure

Kejing lists stack lengths of 50–160 mm, widths of 40–100 mm at the tab edge without tabs, and thickness up to 20 mm. Relative electrode position is held to ≤±0.5 mm. Standard tooling is 4662; other sizes are custom. The figure of about 3 s/piece covers stacking motion alone and leaves out preparation, so full cores per minute will be lower.

Listed functions include a CCD for size checks and position correction, checks for missing sheets and double picks, separate positive and negative handling, static removal, separator cutting, taping and a buffer up to 150 mm high. An internal vacuum generator reaches better than −50 kPa, with no detail on how vacuum is sensed under load. Ask for the delivered sequence and the detection method for each fault type.

BUYER NOTES

Trial your own electrolyte sheets

Send the electrode, separator and electrolyte-sheet dimensions, thickness and fragility, and the exact layer order. Set limits for suction and contact marks, static effects and cross-contamination. Kejing describes soft suction nozzles and separate handling for each material; damage and contamination on a new lithium-metal or solid electrolyte sheet have to be measured on your parts.

Watch the full sequence with representative material. Check that one sheet arrives at a time, then check alignment and layer count on finished cores. Agree safe double-sheet and missing-sheet test cases with the manufacturer. Specify the CCD defect and size limits and what happens when a result is uncertain. Count accepted full cores under these checks to get a real output figure for stacking.

BUYER NOTES

Taping, buffer count and handover to the next step

Define the tape position, how the separator ends and what a finished core looks like. Agree the buffer capacity as a number of cores at your actual thickness, plus how each core keeps its identity when it moves to the next station. A 150 mm buffer height holds far fewer than 150 cores, and pouch loading after taping is a separate step.

Handover should cover vacuum and nozzle wear, sheet and static cleaning, tool and recipe changeover, guarding and recovery after a stop partway through a layer. The machine is about 1900×1050×1900 mm and 1000 kg, on 6.5 kW AC220 V with 0.4–0.8 MPa air. Kejing gives no measured double-pick rate, solid-state test result or finished-cell performance.

Stacks then go to tab joining on a welder such as the Kejing D800W ultrasonic welder, and the page on factory and site acceptance covers checking stack alignment.
