Kejing A8 eight-position coin-cell assembly machine

The Kejing MSK-E110-A8 assembles coin cells, doses electrolyte and crimps them after the operator preloads the material trays. Standard tooling is for CR2032, with custom sets for other sizes. One loaded batch holds up to eight cells. It suits labs that want a repeatable small-batch coin-cell routine.

Eight cells per load, about 0.5 cells per minute

Kejing describes reverse assembly: the operator prepares the trays, then the machine picks and transfers parts for up to eight cells per loaded batch. Two material boxes come as standard. Kejing quotes about 0.5 cells/min as a reference speed. Robot integration is optional; in the standalone machine, tray preparation stays a manual job.

For the CR20 family Kejing recommends a crimp-force setting of 500–700 kg, with a 950 kg maximum. These are machine force settings, so the pressure on the case depends on your tooling. The force sensor is rated at ±0.5% of full scale. Agree your case stack, the tooling, how force is checked and the seal acceptance test with Kejing.

BUYER NOTES

Small doses carry the same ±7 mg error

One peristaltic pump is fitted. The lowest setting is 0.01 g and Kejing suggests around 75 mg for a coin cell. Its test used deionised water: at 0.1 g the error was ≤±7 mg, or ±7%. Below 0.1 g the error stays at ±7 mg in absolute terms, so the percentage error grows as the dose shrinks. At a 75 mg dose, plan on that absolute error.

Trial your own electrolyte, tubing and dose and weigh the results by an agreed method. Record repeatability, carryover, priming and the liquid left in the line, following the supplier's procedure. Ask Kejing for the smallest dose it will hold to a stated accuracy with your electrolyte, since the water figure is the only one published.

BUYER NOTES

Choose OCV or three-electrolyte dosing

The catalogue offers either the OCV module or the three-channel dosing module, and the two cannot be fitted together. The OCV option uses voltage and resistance to flag shorts and open circuits and stores the readings. The base unit has neither function, and the OCV module is a quick screen, separate from a capacity test.

Decide your lab workflow first, then sign off the module and tray configuration. Watch alignment, separator placement, assembly order, dosing and crimping on representative parts. Sort usable cells by the agreed checks and log recipe and lot for each one. For glovebox or dry-room use, check the pass-through size, gas supply and maintenance access against your own enclosure.

Assembled coin cells are cycled on testers whose ranges the battery tester page explains, such as the NEWARE CT-4008Q, and the results feed your acceptance records.
