Hangke sealing-pin welding and inspection station

Hangke's sealing-pin station closes the cell fill port. It scans each cell, cleans the port, welds the sealing pin, inspects the joint and sorts out NG cells. Hangke lists high power, low energy use and a welding speed of 250 mm/s. It sits after formation and before the helium leak check on a prismatic cell line.

Welding speed and the full station cycle

Hangke lists high power, low energy use and automation, without source power, optics, fixture sizes or energy figures. The one number given is a welding speed of 250 mm/s. A full cycle also covers locating, cleaning, welding, inspection and reject handling, and none of these times is published, so ask Hangke for the cycle time per cell.

Send the pin and opening drawing, materials, surface condition and allowed fit. Ask for the welding source, path and recipe controls, and fixture layout on offer. Ask Hangke to state the source type, penetration depth and station rate in the proposal. If the source is a laser, require its guarding, optics and isolation details.

BUYER NOTES

What the inspection covers and what needs a separate test

Agree how the closure is accepted: joint inspection, mechanical checks or a leak method suited to your cell design. Helium testing, full penetration measurement and detection of internal defects each need a named method, so ask for the list of sensors and tests fitted and the defects each can find.

Run representative parts across the planned fit and surface range. Keep cell IDs, recipe and inspection results, and check welded samples by the agreed method. Review a faulty joint example approved by Hangke and see where the NG cell goes. Judge cleaning against your actual contamination and the residue allowed after cleaning.

BUYER NOTES

Records, interrupted welds and handover

Specify the ID check before welding and the record sent downstream, with recipe version, inspection status and any retest. Decide how a cell with an unfinished weld or inspection is held after a stop. Define the link to your database and the quarantine process, since scanning and NG sorting are the only functions named.

At handover, ask for fixture changeover, consumables, cleaning maintenance and safe access to the welding and inspection areas. If output matters to the purchase, count good sealed cells over the full agreed cycle. Set the leak limit, defect detection rate and cell yield for acceptance in the project specification.

Hangke's profile lists the helium leak-check station that follows sealing, the Hangke helium leak-check station, with sealing-weld qualification covered on the FAT and SAT page. Cells must be filled and formed first, as the formation and capacity grading page describes.

DecisionWhat the catalogue saysNext step
What does 250 mm/s measure? The catalogue labels 250 mm/s as welding speed.Specify the weld path and time the full good-cell cycle.
Which closure defects are detected? The catalogue names inspection without a method or limit.Define joint and leak acceptance and watch detection examples.
How is an interrupted weld held? The catalogue gives no recovery or quarantine state.Confirm recipe and result identity and controlled NG handling.
