Gelon servo roll-fed electrode template cutter with PET carrier

Gelon's automatic cutter feeds electrode from a roll into a cutter template under servo control, carries it on a quick-change PET film and has a robot pick up and stack the cut pieces. It takes material up to 300 mm wide and 0.08–0.2 mm thick, lists ±0.2 mm cutting accuracy and 10–20 pieces per minute. It suits pouch and stacked cell lines.

Roll feed, template and PET carrier

Rolled electrode feeds into a cutter template. A robot receives and stacks the finished pieces, and a PET film carries the material and can be swapped quickly. The servo drive sets cutting amount and speed. Material width is up to 300 mm and thickness 0.08–0.2 mm. The page title says laser die cutting, yet the description names a template and gives no laser wavelength or power, so ask for a station drawing and tooling list to see which method is used.

Cutting accuracy is within ±0.2 mm, feeding accuracy within 0.05 and horizontal correction ±0.5; the last two rows carry no units. Burr length is at most 0.1 mm. Ask for the units, the datums and the direction in which burr is measured.

BUYER NOTES

Check pieces after the carrier and robot

Send the collector, coating, cut outline and tab position. Agree that the PET carrier suits your electrode, how pieces release from it, and how the carrier is changed without losing registration. Gelon gives no carrier specification or powder loss figure. Inspect pieces after the robot has stacked them, where sticking, edge damage or shifted stacks show up.

Gelon lists 10–20 pieces per minute, one in and one out. Agree what one piece is and include feed and carrier refills, rejects and tool changes in the count. Magazine capacity is built to the customer's request, so state the number you need. Test the ±0.2 mm figure on real parts with an agreed sampling plan.

BUYER NOTES

Power, air and cleanliness entries

The table gives single-phase AC220 V at 2 kVA with ±10% voltage variation, while another row says 3 kW, so ask for a corrected load schedule. Air is 0.5–0.7 MPa, but the 4–6 kgf/cm² in brackets does not match that range exactly; flow is 50 L/min per unit at an 80% utilisation that is not explained. Ask Gelon to restate these figures.

Cleanliness is written as no less than 100000 levels without naming a standard. Ask for the environment you must provide, plus dust collection and guarding scope. The machine measures about 3170 ×1430 ×2260 mm and weighs 2000 kg. Acceptance should run the full cut and stack sequence with a registration fault and restart, and the parts must meet your edge and cleanliness limits.

Gelon's profile lists the stackers that receive these cut electrodes, which belong to the winding and stacking step. Check burr and dust on the cut edge during the factory test, as the FAT and SAT page explains, because particles can later cause self-discharge, a test described on the cell measurement page.

Still to confirm

  • Whether a laser is used at all, or only the cutter template, with a station drawing.
  • Units and datums for the feeding and correction rows, and the burr measuring direction.
  • The real power need, given entries of 2 kVA and 3 kW, and the air supply figures.
