Gelon lithium-foil and lithium-copper anode die-cutting machine
Gelon builds this die cutter for pure lithium foil and lithium-copper composite anode strip used in lithium-sulfur cells. It combines automatic winding, CCD detection and tension and correction control with purpose-made suction cups and material boxes meant to stop the soft foil deforming or sticking. Cut anodes feed straight to Gelon's lithium-sulfur stacker.
Built for lithium and composite strip
Gelon describes automatic winding, CCD detection and tension and correction units around the die cutting station. Specially designed suction cups pick pure lithium and lithium-copper composite anode sheets. Purpose-made material boxes and plates are meant to prevent squeezing and sticking, and the boxes transfer to a lithium-sulfur stacker.
Gelon presents these as design aims. Composite construction, thickness, smallest feature, cutting rate, die force and dimensional accuracy are not listed. The term automatic winding also needs explaining, so ask for a drawing of the web path and the full sequence of feeding, cutting, pickup and storage.

Test contact and storage with your foil
Send the foil or composite build, its condition as delivered, roll dimensions and the electrode outline. Agree your handling and environment specification with Gelon, and ask whether a glovebox or inert gas enclosure is part of the offer, since the page lists neither.
Test pickup and release on real material. Set limits for deformation, surface marks and sticking after a sheet has sat in its box for the expected time. Ask Gelon to explain the suction cup shape, the contact materials and how sheets are kept apart in storage, and agree an acceptable material loss.

Check the anode where the stacker picks it up
Define outline and feature tolerances, edge condition and particle limits for your lithium-sulfur design. The CCD is named without defect classes, resolution or reference samples, so agree which faults it checks, which need another method and where failed sheets go.
Ask for the box dimensions, sheet orientation, sheet separation and identity and polarity rules that make up the stacker interface. During acceptance, inspect parts after cutting, after time in the box and after stacker pickup. Include die wear and an interrupted feed so that the accepted anode rate and recovery procedure reflect real running.
Gelon's profile lists the lithium-sulfur stacker that uses these anodes, and lithium foil must be handled in dry air or inert gas, as the electrode drying page explains.
Cut anodes are stacked on a machine such as the Gelon lithium-sulfur Z-fold stacker.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Is the material actually inside the offered handling window? | The page names pure lithium and lithium-copper without thickness or contact limits. | Approve a material-specific pickup, release and storage trial. |
| What environment is included? | The page lists no enclosure or atmosphere package. | Name the process conditions you need and the supplied scope. |
| Does stacker compatibility cover the full transfer? | The page describes material boxes for stacker use without interface dimensions. | Witness box storage and downstream pickup with accepted parts. |
