Gelon box-fed dual-arm pilot Z-fold stacker
Gelon's semi-automatic pilot stacker has left and right arms that pick positive and negative electrodes from separate material boxes while the table folds the separator into a Z. The catalogue lists 30 positive plus 30 negative layers, a 320 mm maximum separator width and 2–3 s/pc. It suits pilot pouch-cell builds that need more than hand placement.
Two feeding arms instead of hand placement
Left and right arms take electrodes from the positive and negative boxes, position them and lay them alternately on the stacking table. The table shuttles left and right to fold the separator into a Z. Gelon lists a separator core of 76.2 mm, a maximum separator width of 320 mm, compressed air at 0.5–0.8 MPa and 3.5 kW of power.
Stack thickness is programmable, and the stated build is 30 cathode plus 30 anode layers. The catalogue gives no maximum finished thickness, electrode size range or separator roll outer diameter. Ask for a drawing of the boxes, sheets and finished stack for your setup, and a list of the loading and unloading steps an operator still does by hand.

Turn 2–3 s/pc into stacks per hour
Gelon lists stacking speed at 2–3 s/pc and accuracy within ±0.5 mm. The page leaves open whether pc means one sheet placement or one stack, and where the accuracy is measured. Time a complete 30+30 build with separator handling and removal before you estimate output.
Agree separator overhang, polarity order and final alignment on your own electrode drawing. Measure the stack after it leaves the holding tools, because unloading can shift registration. Fix the inspection points and the spread of results you will accept before the trial.

Run the faults during acceptance
Send sample sheets that show your real spread of coating, edge and flatness. Ask how the machine responds to a double pick, a missing sheet, an empty box and a separator fault. Feed in known bad samples during acceptance and watch the recovery sequence. A run of clean placements tells you much less.
Specify layer counting, part identity and how an incomplete stack is set aside. The catalogue lists no data record or interface. Include box refilling and the manual steps in a long run, then count the good stacks and check maintenance access. Judge the machine on the whole pilot cell it delivers.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which operations remain manual? | The title says semi-automatic and the description names automatic arm pickup. | Document box loading, removal and operator tasks. |
| What does 2–3 s/pc count? | The page gives no cycle time for a full 30+30 stack. | Time an accepted build including separator and unloading. |
| Can the arms handle real sheet faults? | The page lists no fault detection or recovery function. | Witness double and missing sheets, box changes and an interrupted stack. |
