Geesun GPDL integrated laser tab-cutting and prismatic winding machine
The Geesun GPDL cuts electrode tabs by laser and winds the positive and negative electrodes with separator into a prismatic core, all in one machine. The table lists 10–45 mm core thickness, ±0.2 mm winding alignment, ±0.5 mm first-tab edge error and ≥5.5 ppm at ≥10 m electrode length. Geesun says it can run AB cores.

Core sizes, tab accuracy and the two speed figures
Geesun lists GPDL cores of 10–45 mm thickness, 100–305 mm width and 80–230 mm length. Winding alignment is ±0.2 mm and the first-tab edge-distance error is ±0.5 mm. Ask for the reference point, material condition and sampling method for each figure. Check the first-tab position on finished cores, since roll feed position alone will not show it.
The introduction gives a winding line speed of ≥3 m/s, and the table gives ≥5.5 ppm at an electrode length of ≥10 m. One is a line speed and the other a core rate, so ask for the core rate at your own electrode length, with all auxiliary time included. Geesun says the machine can adjust tab cutting in process and run AB cores. Send both core drawings and ask for a recipe and fixture set for each.

Keeping laser-cut tabs in place through winding
Send both electrode coatings and collectors, the separator, winding length, tab schedule and finished-core drawing. Ask how the controller links tab cutting to winding progress, handles pitch changes and checks the first and later tabs. Geesun says online cutting adjustment improves tab-offset control, but it does not publish the detection or correction method. Agree tab-position checks that suit your terminal joining and case fit.
Plan fume extraction and separation around the laser, and how cleaning and inspection fit with winding. The GPDL specification gives no heat-affected-zone or cutting-speed figures of its own, and the GWDL/GWFL numbers belong to the stand-alone tab formers. Ask Geesun for GPDL figures, and run a trial on your material if laser edge condition, particles or tab deformation matter to your core.
AB changeover and the acceptance run
For AB core production, agree the two recipes, incoming materials, fixtures and the switching sequence. Watch the first-core checks and see what happens to material sitting between the laser and the winder when production stops or changes. Geesun gives no changeover time or rule for alternating the two designs, so get both in writing before you build a production estimate.
Run factory acceptance at your electrode length and cell drawing, and keep tab geometry, winding alignment and rejected-core data with the elapsed time. Define good finished-core output and keep line speed, core rate and yield apart. At handover, record the laser configuration, registration parts, winding consumables, lock-out procedures and recipe backups. Filling, case assembly, formation and capacity grading need their own equipment.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Is the incoming tab-forming boundary correct? | The GPDL cuts tabs inside the machine and takes uncut electrode rolls. | Approve the combined feed, tab pattern and extraction layout. |
| How are first and later tab positions verified? | The catalogue lists ±0.2 mm alignment and ±0.5 mm first-tab error with no measuring method. | Agree finished-core tab measurements on representative material. |
| What output and AB changeover are actually qualified? | The catalogue gives ≥3 m/s line speed and ≥5.5 ppm at ≥10 m, and no AB changeover details. | Watch your recipe run and a first-good-core changeover. |
