WinAck SA270S sheet-fed electrode winding station
The WinAck SA270S is a semi-automatic winder: an operator loads cut electrode sheets and the machine winds them with separator fed from a roll. Taping, cutting and unloading of the finished core are automatic. It handles sheets 100–2000 mm long and 33–68 mm wide on 2–5 mm needles, for small cylindrical and wound cells.

Electrode sheets, separator rolls and needles
WinAck lists electrode sheets 100–2000 mm long and 33–68 mm wide, with other widths available. Separator must be 35–70 mm wide and 16–25 µm thick. One row of the incoming-material table shows roll dimensions for an electrode even though the process describes loading sheets by hand. Ask WinAck to confirm in writing how electrodes are fed on the machine you are buying.
Needles come in 2–5 mm diameters to order, and tape can be 8–50 mm wide. Approve the needle shape, extraction clearance and a finished core drawing for your cell format. Then wind coated sample electrodes and check that needle pull-out leaves no inner shift, separator marks or core deformation.

Separator tension units and winding alignment
The feature list states separator tension as '0.2nm–5nm', which could mean force or torque. Ask for the correct unit, where the tension sensor sits and the control range before you write a recipe. Control runs through an encoder, a PLC and a pressure sensor; request the calibration method and response data for the tension loop.
The table gives winding alignment within 0.3 mm, and electrode-to-separator, anode-to-cathode and tab deviation within ±0.5 mm each. Set the reference edges, separator overhang and inspection method for each value. Cut open or scan sample cores to check the inner layers, and include thickness changes and the start and end of the wind in the trial.

Operator cycle, output and installation
WinAck quotes 8–13 pieces/minute with utilisation and yield of at least 98%, without stating test conditions. Time a full cycle that includes sheet loading, misfeed recovery, taping, unloading and inspection, and count good cores over the agreed run. Check automatic taping with the exact tape you will use.
It needs 1500 W of single-phase power (220 V ±10%, 50 Hz) and 0.4–0.6 MPa compressed air. The machine measures 1200 ×1200 ×1550 mm and weighs about 800 kg. Specify fixtures, operator reach and the steps for changing electrode format. Tab joining, casing, filling and formation follow on other machines once the core is wound.
WinAck's profile lists the stacker and pouch-case former that sit beside this winder in a small cell line, and the page on factory and site acceptance covers checking alignment on sample cores.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| How are electrodes supplied? | The process describes hand-loaded sheets; one incoming row gives roll dimensions. | Get the feed arrangement and operator sequence confirmed in writing. |
| What are the tension units? | The feature list gives separator tension as 0.2nm–5nm. | Obtain the unit, sensor location and calibrated control range. |
| Does the full cycle meet core quality? | The catalogue quotes 8–13 pieces/minute and at least 98% yield without conditions. | Count good cores including loading, taping and needle extraction. |
