WinAck P5V60A heated negative-pressure prismatic formation cabinet
The WinAck WA-BFM-P5V60A-N-H combines formation power, a heated cabinet and negative-pressure gas extraction for prismatic cells. This configuration has 16 channels rated 5 V and 60 A, held in two eight-cell restraint trays. It suits pilot and production formation once your recipe, nozzle fit and fixtures are matched to the cell.

The 16-channel power module
Each of the 16 channels charges and discharges from 25–5000 mV and 300–60000 mA. WinAck states voltage and current accuracy as ±(0.05% of full scale + 0.05% of reading). The full-scale term dominates at low current, so check each recipe step against the range it actually uses. The wider 3 A to 60 A model list on the same page describes the product family; this cabinet carries the 60 A modules.
WinAck describes per-channel processes, monitoring and stored formation data. Ask to see channel independence, recipe controls, sampling interval and data export in the delivered software. Energy feedback to the grid is listed without an efficiency figure, so request the electrical installation requirements and how regeneration behaves with many channels loaded.

Cabinet heating, cell probes and vacuum nozzles
The cabinet heats from room temperature +15°C to 60°C with ±3°C uniformity. Each channel has one cell-temperature probe with ±1°C collection accuracy. Map temperatures at several tray positions on loaded cells to see how closely they follow the recipe. The two eight-channel trays are rated for 80°C and described as V-0 flame retardant; plan separate measures for thermal-runaway containment.
The vacuum source covers −100 to 0 kPa at 0.5 m³/h, and air is 0.5–0.7 MPa at 1 m³/h. Ask whether the vacuum figure is gauge or absolute, whether the pump is supplied, how the nozzle seals on your cell and where condensate goes. WinAck rates nozzle life at least 500 cycles or three months and probe pressing life at least 30000 cycles. Request the replacement criteria behind those figures for your maintenance plan.

Installation and the witnessed formation run
Power is 380 V ±15%, 50 Hz, three-phase five-wire, rated at 10 kW. The cabinet measures roughly 1250 ×1250 ×2100 mm, weighs about 1000 kg and needs a floor rated at least 550 kg/m². Confirm the loaded weight and clearances with your facility team. The room around the cabinet must stay within 0–40°C, separate from the heated cell zone inside.
Witness a sequence that covers fixture contact, sensor plausibility, vacuum loss and a power interruption. Check the current, voltage, capacity and temperature records against your formation acceptance limits. Cell life, safety and the best SEI recipe are then proven through your own cell qualification.
After formation and aging, cells are sorted by voltage and resistance as described on the cell measurement page, for example on the WinAck H10B sorter.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Does the low-current recipe fit the measurement range? | Accuracy is ±(0.05% of full scale + 0.05% of reading) on a 60 A module. | Check every formation step and its calibration at the operating point. |
| How will the actual cell connect and vent? | Two eight-cell trays, per-cell probes and vacuum nozzles form one interface. | Approve fixtures and run the loaded temperature and vacuum sequence. |
| What proves an acceptable formation run? | The catalogue lists ranges and accuracy but no chemistry-specific SEI results. | Agree recorded process limits, interruption tests and cell sampling. |
