ZY65 electrolyte filling and vacuum diffusion station

The TOB-ZY65 fills cells with electrolyte and then drives it into the cell under vacuum, in one compact 70 kg station. TOB lists it for cylindrical and pouch cells and for use in a glovebox or dry room. Dose range is 0.2–200 mL with ±0.5% accuracy, and the cylindrical fixture holds four 18650 cells.

Dose range, fixture and size

TOB lists a capacity of 0.2–200 mL and ±0.5% injection accuracy. The same table gives core liquid injection as 0.2–200 g; grams and millilitres only match once you fix the liquid's density and the dosing method. Ask which quantity is set, which is measured and what the percentage refers to.

For cylindrical cells TOB lists up to 60 mm diameter and 100 mm height, with four positions counted on an 18650 basis. Larger cells may give fewer positions. Delivery is adjustable to 6 mL/s and the X-axis stroke runs 0–80 mm. The station measures 400 × 260 × 500 mm, weighs 70 kg and runs on 220 V/50 Hz at 0.5 kW.

BUYER NOTES

Fixtures and the dry environment

Send the cell case, fill opening and handling drawing, including any temporary seal or connector used during soaking. Ask which cylindrical or pouch fixtures are supplied and how many cells each one takes in your configuration. TOB names both cell types; get the full tooling list in writing.

For glovebox use, check the station weight, entry size, service access and where the pump and exhaust sit. For dry-room use, state the moisture specification and the exposure time allowed. TOB mentions chemical-resistant hoses and 304 and 316 stainless steel in key parts; ask for the complete wetted-material list for your electrolyte.

BUYER NOTES

Check the dose first, then the soak

Trial repeatability at low, typical and high doses with your electrolyte or an agreed substitute. Include priming, idle time and nozzle carryover. Set the balance or other reference used for the dose held in the cell, and record liquid delivered and liquid left in the cell after the full sequence as separate figures.

Ask for pressure, dwell and venting logs for the vacuum soak. Agree a wetting check with your cell team, along with leak, overflow and fixture cleaning checks for acceptance. TOB gives no vacuum range for this model and no wetting result, so both come from your trial.

TOB's profile lists the drying ovens and sealers used around this station, and filling is one step in the cell assembly sequence. The first charge after sealing is covered on the page on formation and grading.

Equipment questions

Does ±0.5% hold across the whole range?

TOB gives no dose-by-dose accuracy data and does not say what the percentage refers to. Ask for test conditions and repeatability at your actual setpoints, especially the smallest dose, and settle the grams versus millilitres question before writing the figure into a contract.
