TOB-XFZH05 Vacuum Planetary Slurry Mixer
The TOB-XFZH05 is a vacuum planetary mixer for lab and pilot electrode slurry. It pairs slow planetary mixing at 10–98 rpm with high-speed dispersion at 610–6,100 rpm in an 8 L vessel that holds 2.7–5 L of working batch. A jacket allows heating or cooling, with the chiller supplied by the customer.

Vessel, working volume and two speed ranges
This vacuum planetary mixer combines slow mixing with fast dispersion for thick electrode slurry. TOB's specification gives an eight-litre vessel and a working volume of 2.7–5 L. Mixing runs at 10–98 rpm and dispersion at 610–6,100 rpm; these are two separate motions with their own speed ranges.
TOB also describes electric lifting, stainless-steel wetted parts and a jacket for heating or cooling. Ask for the exact steel grade of the wetted parts and which temperature-control equipment comes with the mixer. Cooling capacity and the temperature limit during mixing depend on your formulation and the chiller you connect.
For a trial, state the batch charge, solids loading, order of powder addition, solvent and the slurry end point you need. Log temperature, vacuum and sampling method with the result. Check how much slurry remains usable after sampling and vessel hold-up, especially when a small batch has to feed the next coating run. Ask TOB for a cycle time on your recipe, since none is published.

You supply the cooling
The jacket covers the barrel and bottom, with G3/8-inch connections and a pressure limit of 0.4 MPa. TOB asks for coolant at 8°C or below and a flow above 3.5 L/min, from a cooling system the customer provides. This is separate from the material operating range of −10 to +120°C.
Ask TOB for the heat load, the allowed coolant and the temperature rise to expect during a representative batch. Check your power supply against the three-phase 380 V, 50 Hz requirement. Add chiller and utility costs to the base mixer price when comparing offers.

Test the viscosity claim with a full batch
TOB's current page markets viscosity handling up to 1.2 million cP. It gives no shear rate, measurement temperature or batch condition for that figure, so ask for them and test your own formulation.
Supply a viscosity-versus-shear curve where you have one, plus the actual solids loading. During the trial, log slurry temperature and motor load for kneading and for dispersion separately. Agree sampling points and the dispersion end point. TOB describes a lift interlock that only allows high-speed dispersion when the vessel is fully raised; ask to see that interlock work, along with loading and cleaning.

A Czech public order naming TOB
The Czech public contracts register holds purchase order 002230259 from the J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry, naming Xiamen TOB New Energy Technology as supplier. The order was for lithium chips, not for the TOB-XFZH05 mixer.
It shows TOB selling to a European public institute. It says nothing about delivery of that order, mixer commissioning or mixer performance, so judge the mixer on your own trial.

Fit the package to the experiment
Before asking for a lab package, set out the cell format and which preparation and assembly steps you already have. For the mixer itself, ask whether the vacuum pump, external heating and cooling, spare seals and cleaning tools are included. If you change formulations often, discuss disassembly, residue removal and how much slurry you can recover.
Treat any formulation trial as its own deliverable: the material supplied, confidentiality, test procedure, samples returned and the results recorded. A wide catalogue shows what TOB sells; your chemistry still has to be proven on your own material.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| How much slurry does a batch deliver? | The catalogue gives a 2.7–5 L working range in an 8 L vessel. | State the usable discharge you need and ask for a trial mass balance. |
| Will the mixer suit your formulation? | The catalogue gives volumes and speeds with no dispersion or temperature results. | Set solids, viscosity and temperature limits, then review a trial on your sample. |
Equipment questions
Can I mix eight litres in the eight-litre vessel?
No. The vessel is eight litres but the working range is 2.7–5 L. A larger batch needs a different model or a written justification from TOB.
Source s2Does the Czech order cover this mixer?
No. That order was for lithium chips. It shows TOB as a supplier to the institute; the mixer specifications come from TOB's own catalogue.
