Kejing MSK-T10 manual electrode/separator punch
The Kejing MSK-T10 is a hand-operated die punch for cutting electrode and separator discs. It takes sheet 0.01–0.5 mm thick, with round dies from 3–24 mm; 14 and 16 mm dies come as standard. It weighs 16 kg and can pass into a glovebox. It suits labs preparing coin-cell samples.

Sheet thickness, dies and load
Kejing lists sheet thickness of 0.01–0.5 mm, punch travel up to 16 mm and a maximum load of 200 kg. Round dies run from 3–24 mm, with 14 and 16 mm standard. Ask for a drawing of the die you will receive and check that it cuts your thickness, especially brittle coatings and multilayer samples.
Kejing says single-layer separator can be punched and that some cases may need weighing paper or A4 paper underneath for support. Test that support for contamination before you adopt it. The antistatic ABS collection box and 120×120 mm work surface should suit your sample size and glovebox routine.

Keep the sample unchanged
Specify disc or shape dimensions, edge tolerance and how much coating cracking, burr or separator deformation is allowed. Kejing describes better burr quality without a measurement method or a comparison figure. Inspect punched samples using the method that matters for your cell assembly or lab test.
If support paper is used, check its effect on both faces and on particle or residue carryover. Agree how the tool is cleaned and how positive and negative materials are kept apart, especially when one die serves several formulations. For thin separator, check stretch, folding and how easily discs come out of the collection box, alongside a clean cut.
Glovebox access and die wear
The punch is about 140×200×400 mm and 16 kg. Kejing states it passes through an antechamber wider than 230 mm in diameter; check orientation, door depth and handle clearance in your own enclosure, since the diameter alone may not be enough.
Handover should cover die change and alignment, wear checks, cleaning and guarded operation, following the supplier's instructions. Log tool identity and sample orientation with your lab records where needed. Kejing gives no rate, burr limit or cell results, so base acceptance on cut samples and repeatable handling.
Punched discs are assembled into coin cells and cycled on a small tester, whose ranges the battery tester page explains.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which die matches your sample? | The catalogue lists 14 and 16 mm dies as standard and 3–24 mm as options. | Approve the die drawing and a material trial. |
| Does a support sheet change the sample? | The catalogue suggests paper support for special cases. | Inspect for contamination and deformation before use. |
| Will the punch fit and work in your enclosure? | The catalogue states an antechamber wider than 230 mm. | Check orientation, handle and glovebox drawings. |
