Kejing electrode peel and friction testing instrument

The Kejing MSK-TE602-PS is a bench tester with 180-degree peel and friction modes. Load ranges of 0–5 N, 0–10 N and 0–30 N are offered, with test speed from 1 to 600 mm/min. For battery work it measures how well the electrode coating holds to the foil, so results depend on a fixed specimen and fixture method.

Load ranges, speed and the friction slider

Kejing lists load ranges of 0–5 N, 0–10 N and 0–30 N; ask which sensor or sensors come with your unit. Speed adjusts from 1 to 600 mm/min. The standard 200 g slider and optional masses belong to the friction mode and are separate from the peel load range.

Kejing describes temperature-controlled testing but gives no numeric range. If you need heated tests, ask for the control range and how specimen temperature is checked. The catalogue also lists test-method references; ask Kejing for any certificates, the edition of each method it follows and which one fits your electrode specimen.

BUYER NOTES

Specimen support and failure mode decide the result

Specify the electrode and coating build, the specimen width, the backing tape or substrate, conditioning and the 180-degree peel setup. Decide which interface should separate, and how you will record a torn collector, a split within the coating or a specimen that slips. A force trace with no width or failure note rarely answers an adhesion question.

Test representative specimens with a signed preparation and fixture method. Keep speed, peel length and averaging window, room conditions and raw curves with every force-per-width figure. Check that the chosen range covers the expected force without losing low-force detail or overloading the sensor. Compare repeat specimens and an agreed reference sample, and set your pass value from those results.

BUYER NOTES

Decide on reporting before you order software

The tester runs standalone with a small printer; PC control and analysis software is optional. Ask which raw data, units, export formats and calculation definitions come with each package. Curve overlay helps compare runs, while measurement uncertainty and root-cause analysis remain your lab's job.

Kejing recommends running at about 25±3°C, away from vibration and electromagnetic interference. The unit is about 830×390×250 mm, weighs 33 kg and runs on AC220 V at about 200 W. Handover should cover force and speed checks, fixture wear, software access and calibration certificates to keep on file. Kejing gives no battery-specific acceptance threshold or uncertainty figure.

Kejing's profile lists the coaters and calenders whose electrodes are tested here, and peel strength depends heavily on drying and pressing, which the calendering category and the electrode drying page cover.
