Kejing eight-channel temperature-controlled pouch expansion test system

The Kejing MSK-TIBE-TPPM8-6A7580 measures force and pressure on eight pouch cells while they cycle. It combines eight fixtures, a 300 L temperature chamber running 10–100°C and an integrated BlueLand eight-channel cycler rated 5 V and 6 A. The cycler is a bought-in BlueLand unit. It suits labs studying cell swelling during charge and discharge.

Cell size, chamber and force sensors

Kejing lists pouch cells up to 80×75×12 mm, eight channels and a nominal 300 L chamber working at 10–100°C. The force and pressure unit runs on 24 VDC, samples at 20–200 Hz and quotes repeatability of 0.1–0.05% full-scale, with a maximum of 100 MPa at ±0.1% full-scale. Read these against the sensor range you receive, its calibration and the contact area of the plates.

The channels measure force; a pressure value depends on the contact area, and cell thickness or displacement needs a separate sensor. The chamber setpoint gives air temperature, so ask how each cell's own temperature is measured. Kejing describes constant-pressure operation with simultaneous measurement; ask the supplier to explain how the cells are held and how pressure is controlled.

BUYER NOTES

Preload and timing shape the comparison

Send the cell geometry, the contact plates, the constraint and preload you plan, and the question your test should answer. Decide whether the report gives measured force, pressure calculated from area, or another value. Agree how zero is set, how plate parallelism is checked and how the fixture's own thermal movement is handled.

Watch a run on representative cells with current, voltage, force and temperature logged together. Ask how timestamps and triggers are shared and how data is exported; force can sample at 200 Hz while the cycler and temperature logs run at their own rates and clocks. Record the preload and fixture setup per channel, so a difference between cells can be traced to the cell and ruled out as a contact effect.

BUYER NOTES

The built-in cycler and services

Kejing lists the BlueLand cycler at 10 mV–5 V for charge, 1–5 V for discharge, 6 A and 30 W per channel, with current accuracy of 0.05% full-scale. Confirm these limits apply in the complete system you buy. The operation video linked from the catalogue shows a 3 A version, so put the 6 A model in the contract.

The chamber measures about 660×710×1690 mm, the system weighs 350 kg and it runs on AC220 V at about 1.5 kW. Handover should list who is responsible for each component, thermal, sensor and cycler checks, data export access and the maker's cell safety measures. Kejing publishes no expansion accuracy, displacement capability or finished-cell results.

Expansion is largest during the first charge, which the formation and capacity grading page explains, and the FAT and SAT page deals with how to verify force readings.

Still to confirm

  • Sensor range, calibration and plate contact area for your fixture.
  • How force, cycler and temperature data are time-aligned and exported.
  • Whether a thickness or displacement sensor can be added.
  • That the delivered cycler is the 6 A BlueLand model.
