Kejing MSK-DPC-B500 electrode calender

The Kejing MSK-DPC-B500 is a roll-to-roll electrode calender with electrically boosted loading. It runs at constant force with a gap limit and includes edge trimming, roll cleaning and an electrode buffer. Rolls are 500 mm in diameter with a 520 mm working width. It suits pilot lines pressing dried electrodes to a target thickness and density.

Rolls, speed and loading

Kejing lists rolls of 500 mm diameter and 550 mm face width, with 520 mm effective rolling width and a top line speed of 18 m/min. The working-pressure field reads 50–300 T. T is a force unit, so ask Kejing to define it, explain how it is sensed and calibrated, and show how actuator load relates to force at the nip before you write it into a process specification.

The frame, lower-roll movement and HMI settings allow constant loading with a gap limit. The catalogue publishes no final thickness tolerance, density result, gap accuracy or roll temperature. Ask for the configuration you will receive, its control and measurement functions and any options, with numeric acceptance limits attached.

BUYER NOTES

Sample thickness and density across the usable web

Send the collector and coating details, the incoming dry loading and thickness, the target pressed density and the foil or coating damage you can accept. Plan samples across the width and along the length, with consistent conditioning and a traceable thickness method. Constant force gives the same load each time, yet each slurry and binder formulation compresses in its own way.

Trial continuous or intermittent coating at recorded load, gap and speed. Look for cracking, wrinkles, adhesion changes and the condition of trim and rewind, alongside thickness and density. Include the transitions between coated and bare foil if your electrode has them. Edge trimming and roll cleaning need their own waste and cleaning checks, because Kejing publishes no particle or damage limit.

BUYER NOTES

Plan for an eleven-tonne line

The published line layout is about 6666×3250×1800 mm, not counting space to remove the rolls. The main unit weighs about 10 tonnes and the whole line 11 tonnes. Ask for a current general arrangement, floor loading, the lifting and access route and roll-change space. Power is about 15 kW on three-phase 380 V, with clean dry air at 0.5–0.7 MPa and 0.04 m³/min.

Handover should include load and gap references, nip guarding and isolation, web and tension setup, hydraulic maintenance and a roll wear and cleaning plan. For acceptance, watch good electrode come off the line under your full process and record the speed it holds; 18 m/min is the mechanical maximum. Kejing gives no density, yield or labour-saving figures, so these come from your own trial.
