Hangke46XX water-cooled formation and capacity-grading machine
Hangke's 46XX water-cooled machine runs precharge, formation and capacity grading for large cylindrical cells. It takes 46 mm diameter cells 60–120 mm tall and comes in 64,144,196 or 256-channel layouts. Circulating water cools the system, and MES/IMS runs the charge and discharge flows. It is a core station on a 46XX cell line.
Cell size, channel layouts and water cooling
Hangke lists a cell diameter of 46 mm and a height of 60–120 mm. The quotation should name your cell drawing, terminal and contact layout, tray positions and the installed channel count. The page states that the machine covers precharge, formation and capacity grading. It gives no per-channel voltage or current ranges, accuracy conditions, energy recovery or temperature map, so request them. Send your exact cell drawing, because two cells with the same diameter can still need different contacts.
The supplier mentions circulating water cooling, smaller floor space and better energy efficiency, without a cooling duty, water flow, inlet temperature or baseline for the saving. Ask for the water circuit and electrical layout, including access to contacts and modules. Each channel option has its own utilities and footprint, so get a drawing for the size you plan to buy.

Separate recipes for precharge, formation and grading
Precharge, formation and capacity grading each need their own schedule and acceptance result. Agree the current, time and rest steps for each, how many channels may run at once and when a cell is released to the next step. Channel count and cells per minute are different figures; recipe length, fixture changes and fault recovery set the real good output. Capacity sorting also needs grade limits, measurement uncertainty and a rule for retests.
Ask how water temperature and cell and contact temperatures are watched at the heaviest electrical load in the quotation. Run acceptance with the planned occupancy and room conditions. Check cell temperature spread directly, and ask for flow and temperature alarms, the leak response, protection against a blocked branch and lock-out for maintenance in the project documents.
MES/IMS control, acceptance run and handover
Hangke states that MES/IMS runs the charge and discharge flows and manages the data. Ask for the protocol, who owns the recipes and how cell, tray and channel IDs are linked. Agree what happens if the server goes down, a tray is pulled mid-run or an upload repeats. Plan a live test with your own system before shipment.
In a representative acceptance run, compare channel readings against calibrated references, record temperature and utility conditions, and keep the full sequence for chosen cells. Then watch a planned interruption and the supplier's recovery steps. At handover, record the 64/144/196/256-channel layout supplied, fixtures and spare contacts, cooling services, calibration intervals and software backups. DCIR, OCV/IR and final sorting are separate stations; list them in the line contract if you need them.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which 46XX geometry and channel layout are offered? | The page gives 46 mm diameter, 60–120 mm height and four channel options, with no contact or tray details. | Approve your cell drawing and the installed layout. |
| What output follows from the full recipe? | The page lists channel counts without cycle time or concurrency. | Calculate good output from your recipe and watch loading and recovery. |
| Are cooling and data interfaces commissioned together? | The page names water cooling and MES/IMS without project figures. | Agree utility and alarm limits and a cell-to-channel data hand-off. |
