Gelon pouch top/side sealing, insulation-test and trim turntable
Gelon's indexing turntable carries a hand-loaded fixture through top sealing, side sealing, insulation resistance testing, side cutting and automatic unloading of pouch cells. Seals run 10–200 mm long and 5–10 mm wide, heads adjust from room temperature to 260°C and sealing time from 0 to 99.9 seconds. It suits pilot and small production pouch lines before formation.
The fixture's path around the table
The operator puts the cell in a fixture and seats the fixture on the turntable pins. The table then steps through feeding, pressing the cell body, top sealing, side sealing, testing, side cutting and unloading. Gelon lists seal length of 10–200 mm, with other sizes made to order, and seal width of 5–10 mm. If you need a custom size, have it written into the quotation.
Head temperature is printed as RM–260° adjustable, which reads as room temperature to 260°C; ask Gelon to confirm the abbreviation. Sealing time adjusts from 0 to 99.9 seconds. Power is 6.5 kW on AC220 V/50 Hz, with a 10 mm air pipe. The package pressure line reads 0.5–0.8 MPa without saying whether that is the air supply or the force on the seal, so ask for the seal force separately.

Find the seal recipe for your laminate and tabs
Send the pouch laminate, tab and tab sealant materials, the joint shape and the stack thickness at the seal. The top seal over the tabs and the plain side seal may need different settings. Agree with the supplier where temperature is measured, the real dwell and the applied force. Gelon gives no temperature uniformity, force tolerance or seal strength result.
Define seal appearance, mechanical integrity and the inspection or sampling your cell design needs. If you need leak acceptance, name its own test and station, because insulation resistance testing measures something else. Inspect the cell after side cutting, where trim position and fixture handling show up.

Insulation test and fixture loading
The insulation resistance test has no listed voltage, threshold, dwell or contact points. Set these for your cell build and run known failed samples through it. Ask for the test instrument and its calibration, the result record, and the response if a cell or fixture sits wrong. Bad samples show which failures the test catches.
Agree fixture datums, trim allowance, unloading support and recovery from an interrupted cycle. Include hand loading when you time the cycle, since Gelon gives no production rate. At handover, expect a written recipe, a first-off check and a loading method that give good seals and traceable electrical results cell after cell.
Sealed cells go on to formation, which the formation and capacity grading page describes.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| What does the 0.5–0.8 MPa entry control? | The page labels it package pressure without saying supply or seal pressure. | Get a pneumatic and force specification for the actual head. |
| Does the seal recipe suit film and tabs? | The page gives adjustable temperature and time ranges. | Qualify top and side seal integrity with your materials. |
| What can insulation testing establish? | The page lists the test without a voltage or threshold. | Define electrical limits and set any leak acceptance separately. |
