Gelon automatic pouch degassing, sealing and finishing line
Gelon's automatic line finishes pouch cells after formation. It degasses and seals, cuts, folds and irons the edges, then runs a short-circuit test, weighing, size measurement, taping and OCV sorting. Gelon lists 15 ppm. It suits production pouch lines that want gas removal and final screening in one run, once the capacity figure is restated.
Degassing plus finishing and checks
Gelon lists automatic degassing and sealing, edge cutting, folding and ironing, short-circuit testing, weighing, size measurement, taping and OCV sorting. So the line covers finishing and screening as well as gas removal. Pouch size range, vacuum level, sealing temperature and force, residual gas limit and leak test method are not given.
Ask Gelon what one unit of the 15 ppm rate is and which station sets the pace. The annual capacity entry reads 1 GW, which is a power unit; ask for a corrected annual output in energy terms, built from cell capacity, operating hours, yield and the real station cycle, before using it in a factory plan.
| Parameter | Published value | Record status |
|---|---|---|
| Published line rate; basis to confirm | 15 ppm | known |
| Listed final electrical screening | OCV sorting and short-circuit test | known |
Catalogue values apply to the configuration and test method the maker states. Ask for the values that apply to your configuration.

Gas pocket and final seal
Send the pouch and gas pocket drawing, the cell state, the electrolyte system and how the cell may be oriented. Degassing releases gas and some electrolyte, so ask how the line opens the pocket, collects material, prevents contamination and leaves room for the final seal. These belong in Gelon's written scope.
Agree the seal position and the pouch shape left after cutting and folding. Name the inspection and sampling that prove seal integrity. If you need a leak test, say which method and which station runs it; the short, weight and size checks each answer a different question.

Edge finishing and electrical sorting
Ironing, folding and taping should give the edge you specify without harming the seal or the tab area. Send bend, edge and tape requirements with the drawing and inspect cells after the whole sequence. Ask for cleaning access and reject recovery around the trimming stations. Gelon lists no size tolerance or particle limit.
OCV sorting checks voltage only; capacity and cycle life are tested elsewhere. Define rest time, temperature, voltage limits and cell identity so the OCV comparison means something. Weighing also needs a reference and a resolution suited to the decision. In the acceptance run, record every check result and confirm a failed cell cannot rejoin the good flow.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| What does the 15 ppm rate count? | The page gives 15 ppm with no cell size or counting basis. | Agree the full finishing setup and sustained good-cell output. |
| Can the annual-capacity figure be used? | The page writes 1 GW for annual capacity. | Get a corrected annual production statement with its assumptions. |
| Do the listed checks prove a sealed cell? | The page lists OCV, weight, size and short tests and no leak test. | Define seal integrity and leak acceptance alongside sorting. |
