Gelon laboratory 25/50 L vacuum drying oven family

Gelon's laboratory vacuum oven comes in 25 L and 50 L chamber sizes and pulls below 133 Pa. It has temperature correction, an over-temperature alarm, a timer, parameter memory and recovery after a power cut, on a 220 V supply under 1500 W. It suits drying powders and electrode samples in battery labs once a drying recipe is proven.

Sizes, vacuum and controls

Gelon lists a standard single-phase 220 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply and power below 1500 W. A trailing 10A Ma entry is cut off, so ask for the current rating on the signed specification. Chamber sizes are 25 and 50 L. Vacuum is printed as below 133 Pa, with no gauge position, pump package, load condition or hold test.

Gelon describes vacuum drying for heat-sensitive materials, powders and granules. In a battery lab it can dry materials and electrode sheets once qualified; ask Gelon before using it with charged cells or flammable solvents. Request the temperature range, chamber dimensions, shelves, pump and the materials it is rated for.

BUYER NOTES

Dry to a measured endpoint

Tell Gelon the material or electrode, the quantity, how it sits on the shelves and the residual moisture or solvent you need. Ask where chamber pressure is measured and how a loaded oven reaches and holds it. A batch gives off vapour, so check the pressure with a real load inside, since no pump-down curve or drying result is published.

Define temperature measuring points, loaded uniformity, dwell and the sampling that proves dryness. The page gives no heating range or precision for this model, so get those figures in writing. Agree solvent compatibility and the exhaust and collection scope before you write the process.

BUYER NOTES

What happens after a power cut

Gelon names temperature correction, an over-temperature alarm, a timer, parameter memory and call recovery. Ask whether call recovery restores the settings only or also restarts heating by itself, and make sure that behaviour suits your material and operator procedure.

During acceptance, trigger the alarm, a sensor fault if covered, and a controlled power cut, following the delivered instructions. Include unloading, cleaning and vacuum system maintenance. Choose between 25 and 50 L on usable load and measured dryness. At handover, keep the loaded recipe and the restart and alarm test results.

Dried electrodes go on to cell assembly, the next category, and the guide to writing an RFQ explains how to request vacuum and temperature records.

Still to confirm

  • Temperature range and temperature uniformity with a load inside.
  • The pump supplied and the pressure reached with a loaded chamber.
  • Which solvents and materials the oven is rated for.
