Geesun modular prismatic negative-pressure formation and capacity-grading family
Geesun builds modular prismatic formation and capacity-grading stations on a shared design. Formation uses non-contact micro-negative-pressure and Venturi nozzles at 120 A. Grading uses an integrated probe-bed and power cabinet with internal water cooling at 200 A. Both list up to 32 channels, 0.05 %FS accuracy and ±2 °C temperature uniformity.
Shared channel counts and measurement figures, different power
Both stations list 8,10,12,16,20,24 or 32 channels with custom options, temperature uniformity±2 °C, voltage and current accuracy 0.05 %FS, cell-temperature accuracy±0.5 °C and contact impedance≤0.3 mΩ. Formation is offered at 5 V/120 A,60 V/120 A and 80 V/120 A with bypass. Grading uses 200 A at the same voltages. Ask Geesun for the circuit topology, the number of cells in series and the protection per cell, since the higher voltages suit strings rather than single cells.
Both tables give a probe temperature of≤10 °C with no reference. Ask Geesun whether that is an absolute temperature, a temperature rise or a typing error. For the full-scale accuracy, ask for the configured range, calibration conditions and resolution, and for the accuracy at the small currents in your recipes.
| Parameter | Published value | Record status |

| Claimed voltage/current accuracy | 0.05 %FS | known |
| Claimed contact impedance | ≤0.3 mΩ | known |

Catalogue values apply to the configuration and test method the maker states. Ask for the values that apply to your configuration.
Negative-pressure nozzles for formation, water cooling for grading
The formation station uses a non-contact micro-negative-pressure structure with Venturi suction nozzles, adjustable spacing and automatic changeover tooling. Ask how pressure is created and measured at the cell, what containment and exhaust come with it and how a leak affects the recipe. The page gives no pressure setpoint, airflow or fill-port drawing.
The grading station combines the probe bed and power cabinet in one frame, with internal air circulation and water cooling on two sides, all inside a six-sided enclosure meant to reduce the effect of room temperature. Ask for a temperature map under load, the cooling duty, and the inlet and flow conditions, and check the ±2 °C figure across discharge and rest. Formation and grading each need their own electrical schedules and acceptance records, even though they share mechanics.
Calibration, probe service and fire protection
Geesun describes standard automatic calibration tooling, screw-free probe mounting and pull-out maintenance drawers. Specify the references, which channels are calibrated and how often, and the contact checks after a probe change. Measure contact impedance and accuracy again after fitting new probes. Trial your own tray and cell formats and check the first cells after each changeover.
Geesun also describes combined water and gas piping and staged firefighting, with five protected sides and an automatic lifting fire door that closes the sixth. Ask for the hazard-response matrix, building interfaces and the safety documents for the delivered equipment. At acceptance, trigger the faults that can be tested safely, track cell identity through each recipe and show recovery after an interruption. Capacity sorting needs grade limits and rules for invalid results and retests, beyond the upload of electrical data.
Geesun's profile lists its upstream cutting and winding machines, the formation stage category compares other systems, and the cell measurement page explains the OCV checks that follow aging.
Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which process hardware and power topology are offered? | Formation is listed at 120 A with negative-pressure nozzles; grading at 200 A with water cooling. | Approve each configuration with its limits per cell and per string. |
| What does≤10 °C probe temperature mean? | Both tables give ≤10 °C with no reference. | Get a written definition and run a thermal test with contacts under load. |
| How are accuracy and safety verified after maintenance? | The catalogue describes automatic calibration tooling and staged fire protection without procedures. | Agree references, probe-change checks and a safety test plan. |
