Geesun GPDA-3H large-prismatic three-station winding machine
The Geesun GPDA-3H winds large prismatic cores, multi-tab or full-tab, for power and energy-storage cells. Three stations handle winding, separator cutting and taping, and needle withdrawal and unloading. The table lists 8–30 mm thickness, ±0.5 mm alignment and 6 ppm with 5m electrode. Air purification, auto-splicing and short-circuit testing are options.

Core size, rate and the three stations
Geesun lists core thickness 8–30 mm,100–200 mm width and 80–230 mm length including tabs. Overall winding alignment is±0.5 mm. The rate is 6 ppm calculated with 5m-long electrode, and a separate line gives a winding speed of 800–1500 mm/s. If your electrode is longer or shorter, ask for the core rate at your length. The page names 2614891/27173200/54173200 as suitable power-cell designs, without drawings.
Station one inserts the needle and winds. Station two cuts the separator, finishes the core and applies the end tape. Station three pulls the needle and unloads. Before winding, the machine detects and corrects drift on both electrodes, with variable speed and tension and a direct-drive head. The three stations work in sequence on one core flow; ask for the feed and fixture layout.

Handling marked defects in the incoming electrode
Geesun describes detection of defect marks on the electrode. The marked section is wound on its own without separator and ejected automatically. Specify your marking format, the detection coverage you need and how the machine keeps rejected material out of good cores. At acceptance, run electrode carrying your own marks and check the identity records for that path.
The page lists brush cleaning and dust removal, with vacuum extraction at the electrode cutting blades. Agree dust collection, cleaning access and the allowed particles and edge condition on your material. Multi-tab anti-fold and fold detection also need your tab drawing and a clear defect definition. Ask for the smallest defect each detector catches and the false-reject rate.
Optional functions and the acceptance run
FFU air circulation and purification, automatic roll change and splicing, and short-circuit testing are listed as options. The quotation should say which are installed, their limits and how each is accepted. If you order short-circuit testing, specify the test conditions and the handling of failed cores, since the page gives no method. Qualify automatic splicing on your electrode and separator, with clear rules for keeping a splice out of a finished core.
Run factory acceptance at 5m or at your project's electrode length. Sample alignment and tabs from every station and include a stop and restart. Count good cores alongside marked rejects and process rejects. At handover, collect the delivered option list, tape and needle consumables, recipe backups and safe lock-out and maintenance procedures. Check the listed cell designs against your own core drawing before relying on them.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which functions are standard and which are ordered options? | The catalogue lists FFU, automatic splicing and short-circuit testing as options. | Approve a delivered function list with an acceptance test for each. |
| Can the incoming reject mark be handled correctly? | The catalogue describes winding marked electrode separately without separator and ejecting it. | Run your own marked electrode at acceptance and trace where it goes. |
| Does the quoted rate match the core length? | The 6 ppm rate is given for 5m electrode, apart from the 800–1500 mm/s winding speed. | Count good cores at your recipe over an agreed time. |
