Courage prismatic energy-storage module and PACK line
Courage's prismatic energy-storage line runs from cell grading and loading through terminal cleaning, stacking, busbar welding and weld inspection to FT1 testing, PACK assembly and EOL. Courage gives at least 10 ppm, ≥99.5% first-pass yield and ≥95% OEE. It suits storage module and pack plants that want one supplier for the assembly route.
Stations from cell loading to end-of-line test
Courage lists automatic grading, cell loading, laser terminal cleaning, tape application, stacking and polarity checking. The route continues with terminal location, terminal-to-busbar welding, weld inspection, FT1 testing, PACK assembly and EOL. For each station, agree the task, the input and output interfaces and the equipment that will be supplied. Ask Courage to define the test programme behind the FT1 and EOL labels.
Courage describes flexible tooling and says the line handles all prismatic storage and power cells. The page gives no size, weight, terminal or module range. Send your cell drawings, interconnects, module compression needs and PACK design. The quotation should name the fixtures for each format and any change in joining or handling your cell requires.

Six-factor screening and MES traceability
Courage describes six-factor cell screening without listing the six factors, the instruments or the test conditions. Decide which incoming results the line measures, which it imports from earlier tests and which it calculates. Agree the matching rule, calibration and handling of cells that fail or need a retest. Capacity and ageing match need their own measured data if your packs depend on them.
Courage lists two-way MES communication and material and process traceability. Specify cell IDs, module links, station results, recipe versions and fault records. Test the link to your own system with interruptions, retries and rework. Courage notes that single stations can start on their own; check that doing so keeps every part's identity and stops unchecked parts from moving downstream.

Rate, yield and the acceptance run
The table gives at least 10 ppm for both the module and PACK line and the cell sorter. It does not say whether the line figure counts cells, modules or finished PACKs. Courage also gives ≥99.5% first-pass yield, 99.9% second-pass yield and ≥95% OEE without operating conditions or measurement windows. Agree the product unit, downtime, rework and reject rules before you compare these with other bids.
Run the whole route with representative lots and check polarity, insulation placement, weld condition and final test records. Include fixture changes, material refills, alarms and rejected modules in the demonstration. The page gives no line dimensions, connected power or list of bought-in components, so get the layout and utility schedule before you plan the building or commit to an output figure.
Courage's profile lists the single stations it also sells for such a line, and the cell screening at the start of the line uses the tests explained on the cell measurement page.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| What does the line deliver? | The route covers cells, modules and PACKs, and the ≥10 ppm figure has no stated unit. | Agree the finished product and measure good output in that unit. |
| What are the six screening factors? | The catalogue names six-factor screening without listing the factors. | Fix the measurements, imported data and cell-matching rules in the contract. |
| Does traceability survive rework and interruption? | The catalogue lists two-way MES and traceability. | Test ID mapping, fault recovery and station records at acceptance. |
