AOT MSK-115B-L pouch-cell secondary vacuum sealer
The AOT MSK-115B-L is a secondary vacuum sealer for pouch cells. It pierces the gas pocket, vacuums, drains electrolyte and heat-seals, with a 330 mm effective seal length and pouches up to 330 × 330 × 20 mm. The operator loads and clamps each cell; the process sequence then runs automatically.

Seal length, pouch size and the fixture
The head is 345 mm long and seals over an effective length of 330 mm. Pouches up to 330 × 330 × 20 mm fit a double-pit design, or 10 mm thick for a single pit. The standard seal is 6 mm wide, and 2–8 mm widths are available to order. Send your formed pouch and gas-pocket drawing so the supplier can check fixture clearance, head access and where the final seal lands.
The operator feeds and clamps each pouch by hand. The machine then pierces with a needle, drains, and washes with slight positive-pressure air. A metal needle is standard and a ceramic needle is a custom option. Agree the puncture point, electrolyte collection, cleaning and reject handling, and plan staffing for one operator per station.

Hard head to 220°C, soft head to 250°C
AOT headlines heads up to 250°C. The table then splits this into hard sealing up to 220°C with PTFE tape and soft sealing up to 250°C without the tape. The standard machine has a hard head, so confirm the head type and your film's sealing window before setting a recipe. Head temperature accuracy is ±2°C and parallelism better than 0.02 mm; seal quality is then settled by trials on your laminate.
The sealing pressure entry reads 140 kgf at a 0.6 MPa air supply. That is a clamping force. Work out contact pressure from the force and your chosen seal width, and agree how force will be measured. Dwell time adjusts from 0 to 90 seconds. The supplier suggests 3–4 seconds; set your own value from trials on your laminate and electrolyte.

Vacuum, dry environment and utilities
The page gives a maximum vacuum reading of −95 kPa and does not say whether it is gauge or absolute. Ask for the sensor model, control sequence and pumping behaviour with a cell loaded. AOT mentions moisture control but gives no residual-moisture figure. Agree the glovebox or dry-room integration, the oxygen and water levels, and how cells are transferred in.
The machine runs on single-phase 220 V ±10%, 50/60 Hz, 1.5 kW, with dry compressed air or inert gas at 0.6–0.8 MPa; 110 V is custom. Each seal uses 0.18 L of compressed air, and the page lists about 30 L of exhaust volume without saying per what. Ask AOT to state the collection and exhaust requirement plainly. Test leakage, seal strength and electrolyte carryover on representative pouches. AOT lists solid-state batteries among the uses; check your own chemistry in the trial.
The gas removed here forms during the formation step, which the formation page explains. The acceptance testing page shows how a finished seal is checked.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which head is being supplied? | The table gives hard sealing to 220°C as standard and soft sealing to 250°C. | Confirm head, tape and film compatibility through seal trials. |
| Where does the electrolyte go? | The machine pierces the pouch and drains to an external collection device. | Approve puncture, collection, cleaning and rejected-cell handling. |
| What constitutes a passing final seal? | The page lists −95 kPa vacuum and 0.02 mm head parallelism, with no leak or moisture figure. | Agree leak, seal-strength and contamination acceptance methods. |
