AOT DZF-6210-L 210 L vacuum drying oven

The AOT DZF-6210-L is a general-purpose 210 L vacuum drying oven with a SUS304 chamber, three partitions, a range up to 250°C and vacuum below 133 Pa. A 4 L/s pump and inert-gas filling are options. It suits drying battery electrodes and assembly parts in a laboratory.

Tray fit and the loaded chamber

AOT lists a SUS304 chamber of 560 × 640 × 600 mm with three partitions and a nominal 210 L capacity. The outside measures 720 × 805 × 1680 mm. Check that your electrode trays, holders or assembly parts fit with the spacing they need, because empty chamber volume overstates a real batch. Ask for shelf load limits, clear openings and a proposed load layout.

The catalogue gives a range from room temperature plus 10°C up to 250°C, a 0.1°C display resolution and 0.5°C temperature fluctuation. Resolution and fluctuation describe the controller. Uniformity across a full chamber needs its own measurement, so make the load pattern, sensor positions and allowed material temperature part of the drying trial.

BUYER NOTES

The vacuum circuit, pump and gas options

Vacuum is listed as below 133 Pa, read on an analogue gauge. Ask for the pressure reference, gauge range, calibration and measuring point. A 4 L/s pump can be bought with the oven. AOT says it evacuates the chamber in under ten minutes; ask whether that time is for an empty or a loaded chamber, and set your drying time from the trial.

The oven uses a corrosion-resistant vacuum hose and an integral silicone door seal. Check both against your vapours and cleaning agents. Inert-gas filling is optional, so ask for the valve arrangement, gas supply conditions and backfill sequence. Put pump protection, condensate handling and exhaust routing on the quotation as named items.

BUYER NOTES

Accept on a moisture result

The oven has a 1–9999 minute timer and an overtemperature alarm. Define the drying endpoint for your electrode or part: starting moisture, sample preparation, the analytical method and the spread allowed across the load. AOT's page speaks of heat-sensitive substances in general and gives no battery-material recipe, so the recipe comes from your own drying trial.

Before commissioning, check material outgassing, the temperature limit of your parts, and the electrical and vacuum utilities. Ask AOT in writing about solvent compatibility and any fire or explosion protection. Use the oven for drying components and electrodes; energized cells and abuse testing need equipment designed for them.

AOT's profile lists the laboratory coaters and calenders whose electrodes usually come to this oven.

Still to confirm

  • Whether the 4 L/s pump, hose and gauge are included, and the pressure reference used for 133 Pa.
  • Compatibility of the hose, door seal and chamber with the solvents you will dry off.
  • Temperature uniformity across a full load at your drying setpoint.
  • The residual moisture and cycle time reached on your electrodes in a loaded trial.
