ACEY-PVM-250ML programmable vacuum slurry mixer
ACEY-PVM-250ML is a benchtop dual-shaft vacuum mixer for small electrode-slurry batches. It runs three programmed speed stages up to 600 rpm in forward or reverse, with a built-in vacuum pump and optional tanks from 150 to 500 ml. Lab teams use it to develop and repeat slurry recipes before scale-up.

Choose the tank and paddle as a pair
ACEY fits twin-shaft screw paddles as standard, offers single-shaft blade paddles as an option, and sells tanks from 150 to 500 ml. Pick the tank and paddle together, because a different volume changes clearance, wetting and how the slurry discharges. Ask for the delivered parts list and the minimum and maximum working fill for each tank. A tank's nominal size is larger than the batch it mixes well.
Top stirring speed is 600 rpm, with three speed stages and a timer from 0 to 600 minutes. Ask whether direction, vacuum and the change between stages can be programmed for each stage. Record the manual addition steps too. Three stored speed and time values repeat only part of a recipe, and the operator's sequence completes it.

Check vacuum at the fill you will use
ACEY gives the built-in pump a −0.08 MPa vacuum figure and says it holds for two hours without an obvious drop. Ask for the gauge reference, where pressure is measured and how the hold is judged, and whether the hold is tested at rest or while mixing.
Vacuum helps remove trapped gas. ACEY gives no figure for the gas left in a finished slurry, so measure it on your own material. Check solvent compatibility, foam and carry-over into the pump line, and pump maintenance. Make a loaded-tank vacuum check part of acceptance, since viscosity, outgassing and material additions all change the result compared with an empty vessel.

Small batches: recovery and cleaning
ACEY lists AC 220 V, 200 W and about 35 kg. The first dimension is printed as '335m' next to 325 mm and 575 mm, so ask for a corrected dimension drawing. Check room for opening the lid, removing the tank and working inside a glovebox or dry room if you need one.
Send a representative formulation. Measure viscosity by an agreed method, look for agglomerates, record temperature rise and weigh the slurry you recover. In a small lab batch, the slurry left on paddles and walls can be a large share of the total. Ask to see the mixer taken apart and cleaned for your planned material changes, and check seals and scrapers for wear that could contaminate the slurry.
ACEY's profile lists the coaters and filters used after mixing, such as the ACEY slurry filter. The coating width page covers how to judge the coated sample. As the RFQ guide suggests, ask for programme and vacuum records in the quotation.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which tank/paddle set is included? | The page offers tanks from 150 to 500 ml and twin-screw or single-blade paddles. | Confirm tank geometry, working fill and delivered parts. |
| How is the vacuum figure tested? | The page gives −0.08 MPa and a two-hour hold without a gauge reference. | Agree an empty-tank and a loaded vacuum check with solvent safeguards. |
| Can small batches be recovered consistently? | The page gives no recovered-mass or cleaning figures. | Weigh the recovered slurry and measure its properties after the full procedure. |
Equipment questions
Will the same programmed recipe work with another tank?
Often it will need changes. Fill level, tank shape and paddle clearance all affect mixing and heat transfer. When you switch tanks, re-run the same slurry measurements before you rely on the recipe. ACEY offers no single recipe for every tank size.
