ACEY-D300B double-sided cylindrical PACK spot welder
ACEY-D300B is an automatic double-sided resistance spot welder for cylindrical battery packs. It pairs a gantry with 400 mm X and 500 mm Y travel and a transistor supply rated at 10000 A peak. It is built for tab connections on packs of cells such as 18650, and the right settings come from a weld trial on your own tabs.

The motion station and the welding supply
ACEY's main table gives the ACEY-D300B 400 mm of X travel, 500 mm of Y travel and a 50 kg load limit on the Y axis. Repeat positioning accuracy is ±0.02 mm, and the input is single-phase AC 220 V/50 Hz. The page names several cylindrical cell formats. Send your pack layout and ask for a fixture and weld-path drawing made for it.
The paired transistor supply reaches a maximum welding current of 10000 A and can run in current or voltage control mode. That is a peak value. Whether your nickel or copper stack welds well depends on the whole set-up, so ask ACEY to quote the supply, head, electrode shape, duty conditions and cooling as one welding configuration.

Output, mass and air figures differ across the page
The feature text mentions up to 999 stored files and about 2500 cells per hour with a servo head. The table gives 100 file groups and an example of about 5500 18650 cells per hour. A figure of 0.35 seconds per point also appears. Cells and weld points are different units, so ask ACEY for the pack output it will accept as a contract figure.
The main table lists 350 kg, 1020 × 910 × 1770 mm and compressed air at 0.4–0.6 MPa. A later block lists 200 kg, 1150 × 900 × 1850 mm and 0.3–0.4 MPa. Ask for the specification and installation drawing of the machine you will receive. The optional chiller block has unclear quantities, so get those confirmed before you plan cooling water and power.

Set acceptance around the tab joint and the whole pack
Give ACEY the cell terminal, tab material, plating, thickness, weld pattern and number of connections per cell. Ask for a sample trial judged by an agreed destructive joint test, electrical resistance and a check for cell damage. Weld both sides of the pack using the real clamping and access arrangement. The page compares its parts with components from other origins; judge precision and service life on your own samples.
ACEY describes programmable offsets, recovery after interruption and an alarm/stop function. Watch what happens after an electrode change, a missed contact or a stopped job, and check whether finished points are tracked. A resumed program should neither skip nor double-weld a connection. Time the full handling and welding cycle at your accepted quality level. A single-point time multiplied by a cell count gives too optimistic a figure.
ACEY's profile lists the sorting machines that group cells before welding. The cell measurement page explains the resistance checks used on finished joints and cells.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which D300B configuration is delivered? | The page lists 350 kg or 200 kg, two footprints, two air ranges, and 999 files or 100 file groups. | Approve one configuration sheet covering head, supply, cooling and utilities. |
| What output is qualified? | The page gives about 2500 or 5500 cells per hour and 0.35 seconds per point. | Time a whole pack with the real weld count and accepted joint quality. |
| How is interrupted welding recovered? | The page describes resume, offset and alarm/stop functions. | Watch an electrode-change calibration and a recovered job on a sample pack. |
Equipment questions
Does 10000 A tell you which tab material can be welded?
No. A resistance weld depends on contact resistance, electrode force, pulse shape, electrode condition, the cell terminal and the tab stack. Ask for a demonstration on your joint with the supply and head you will buy, and get a written weldability range for your materials.
