LDHY400-N45 laboratory electrode calender

The NAKNOR LDHY400-N45 is a laboratory roller press for electrode trials, with 400 × 450 mm rolls, 200–400 mm electrode width, a 150 T maximum working force and up to 12.5 m/min. Heated rolls are an option, so specify heating and line force for your electrode when you ask for a quote.

LDHY400-N45 specification and options

The catalogue row lists 400 × 450 mm rollers, an electrode width of 200–400 mm, a maximum working force of 150 T and a maximum equipment speed of 12.5 m/min. The hydraulic station is standard. Heated rollers and an automatic pneumatic-hydraulic booster are optional, so name the pressure arrangement you want in the quotation.

NAKNOR describes the line as unwinding, edge trimming, dust removal, rolling and rewinding for small laboratory batches. List the auxiliaries you need and have them written into the scope. The 150 T figure is a total machine rating. Line force per unit of electrode width depends on the width you run, and the density you reach at top speed depends on your electrode.

BUYER NOTES

Let your electrode set the acceptance test

Send the chemistry, polarity, width, incoming thickness and the compressed condition you need. Decide what roller temperature the electrode needs before choosing the heating option. Measure each sample at both edges and in the centre, and agree the time after pressing when thickness is read, so that relaxation is kept apart from machine variation.

During the trial, look for wrinkles, coating adhesion problems and poor rewinding. Ask for roller runout and temperature records at the proposed conditions. Floor area and patent counts on a company page tell you about the business; these machine records tell you about your result.

BUYER NOTES

Measure density and springback after the press trial

Prepare samples with the intended coating, incoming thickness and web width. Agree how final thickness and density will be measured before the supplier picks rolling settings. Log the gap, the load definition, the speed and any heating setup with each sample. Without those conditions, the result is hard to repeat on the delivered machine.

Read the agreed properties right after rolling and again after the agreed relaxation period, which shows springback. Check surface damage, coating transfer and edge behaviour on their own, apart from the average thickness. If heating is proposed, ask for a temperature mapping plan and the method used to reach the operating condition. Have the quoted total force turned into a working force for your width and roll geometry, so the trial targets the density your electrode actually needs.

Equipment questions

Is heating standard on this model?

No. The table marks heated rollers as optional. Name the heating package and the temperature-control scope in your order.

Can 150 T be compared directly with line-load figures?

Only once the working width and roller geometry are known. Ask the supplier to state the operating force it proposes and how it spreads across your electrode.
