Gelon laboratory vibrating vacuum slurry mixer
Gelon's small laboratory mixer stirs electrode slurry at 0–320 rpm under vacuum from a built-in pump, while a vibrating base plate shakes out bubbles before mixing and helps disperse slurry after it. It comes with a 150 ml stainless-steel vessel and a 500 ml aluminium vessel and draws 150 W. It suits bench-scale slurry trials.
Speed, vibration and vessels
Mixing speed is stepless from 0 to 320 rpm, which places it at the gentle end despite the high-speed product title. A built-in pump pulls vacuum, and the vibrating base removes bubbles before vacuum mixing and disperses slurry afterwards. Mixing time runs from 0 to 99 minutes. Supply is single-phase 110 V AC/60 Hz at 150 W. The two vessels are 150 ml stainless steel and 500 ml aluminium; ask for the working fill of each.
Mixing tool drawings, torque, temperature control, vibration settings and the minimum batch are not listed. If your slurry needs high-shear dispersion, check that this mixer reaches your target. Ask the supplier to confirm the vessel, mixer geometry and usable fill for your chemistry.

Which pressure the vacuum figure means
The text says the pump can bring the container to 0.08 MPa, with 600 torr in brackets, and the table lists a vacuum level of 0.08–0.09 MPa. Neither says whether the figure is absolute pressure or a gauge reading below atmosphere, and the torr value does not settle it. Ask Gelon to state the reference.
Request the measured chamber pressure, the gauge type, pump-down with a loaded vessel and any hold test. Agree solvent compatibility and the pump and exhaust arrangement with the supplier, and ask whether a cold trap or vapour handling is offered. Test de-aeration with a bubble count or density check on your slurry.

Choosing between the steel and aluminium vessel
Send your solvent, solids, viscosity conditions and the endpoint that marks a finished batch. Stainless steel and aluminium react differently, so check each against your chemistry and cleaning method before use. The vessel volumes are nominal; agree a batch mass or fill percentage that works.
Watch the mixing and vibration sequence and check uniformity and trapped gas with an agreed method. Record temperature if your recipe depends on it, and look at how much slurry comes out and how much stays behind. At handover, note the vessel, actual fill, pressure reference and sequence so that you can compare batches over time.
The slurry is then coated on a small coater, and the coating width page explains how to judge the coated sample; the FAT and SAT page deals with how to agree a mixing trial.

Questions that change the purchase
| Decision | What the catalogue says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which pressure reference is intended? | The page lists 0.08–0.09 MPa without saying absolute or gauge. | Confirm the instrument and the measured loaded pressure. |
| Which vessel suits the slurry? | The page lists a 150 ml stainless vessel and a 500 ml aluminium vessel. | Approve chemistry compatibility and effective fill. |
| What proves bubble removal and uniformity? | The page describes vibration and vacuum de-aeration. | Agree batch sampling and de-aeration acceptance. |
